Nolan Ritchie is an undergraduate currently pursuing his BS in Nuclear Engineering with a minor in Health Physics. His current research is on consequence assessment and emergency response, specifically on methods for estimating alpha and beta activity in air samples. He previously conducted research on charged particle shielding using novel materials. Nolan began his research with the Retrospective Dosimetry and Nuclear Assay Group in the spring of 2023. He currently plans on pursuing a career in health physics or nuclear safety after graduating in the spring of 2024.
