The MIX Lab of the Department of Nuclear Engineering at NCSU has a mission of utilizing advanced manufacturing, examination, and characterization techniques as well as building wide collaborations with other experimental and computational scientists to explore materials behavior in extreme environments, with a focus on analyzing environmental degradation of materials in nuclear power systems.
Goals
The MIX Lab aims to develop and pursue advanced manufacturing, examination and characterization capabilities and analysis skills to facilitate cutting-edge R&D and strengthen Nuclear Science User Facilities (NSUF) partner at NCSU for nuclear energy and other clean energy studies.
