About William:

Hailing from Pennsylvania, William is a first year PhD student working with Dr. Stapelmann on characterizing plasmas for medical applications. He is an award-winning national member of the American Nuclear Society and Health Physics Society, and has worked with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Department of Homeland Security, and Penn State University to validate risk assessment codes, advise nuclear energy and security policies, and develop robotic inspection techniques for nuclear waste. Upon completing his education, William aims to assist lawmakers in developing scientific policy and to discover new applications for nuclear and plasma technologies.
