Dr. Linyu Lin obtained his master’s and Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University. His Ph.D. research focused on the development and validation of a particle-based computational fluid dynamic method, i.e. Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH), for simulating the progressions and impacts of high winds and external flooding on the nuclear power plant. Before that, he earned his B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Michigan and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University. Currently, Linyu works as a post-doc for Dr. Nam Dinh. He has been focusing on the implementation and assessment of a Nearly Autonomous Management and Control System (NAMAC) for advanced reactors with data-driven methods and machine learning techniques.
