TRTR supports and represents the interests of nearly 40 academic and nonacademic research reactors in the US. In addition, it facilitates communication, information exchange, and coordination with various entities such as the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the US Department of Energy (DOE). The reactors represented by TRTR are considered as critical infrastructure for education, research, and technological development. The 2021 TRTR annual meeting will be organized by the Nuclear Reactor Program and will be held at North Carolina State University.
Hawari work covers various areas that are important for the design of advanced nuclear reactors, including thermal neutron scattering cross sections data generation, computational and experimental investigation of accident tolerant fuel, and the development of modern computational methods to support analysis of transient fuel testing experiments.
