Marshall honored with the NC State’s College of Engineering 2020 Champion of Women Award

Congratulations to Lisa Marshall, Director of Outreach, Retention & Engagement for NC State’s Department of Nuclear Engineering, recipient of NC State’s College of Engineering Champion of Women Award. This award recognizes a faculty or staff member who makes a significant impact on the advancement of women through their advocacy, mentorship and personal involvement in NC State’s Women and Minority Engineering Program (WMEP) activities.

Ms. Marshall is also a lecturer and adviser. She teaches, as part of a team, the Introduction to Engineering and Problem-Solving course. She is the assistant director of the College of Engineering China Study Abroad Program and teaches an Energy Geographies course. Lisa is the education outreach director for the Consortium of Nonproliferation Enabling Capabilities (CNEC), serves on the operating council for the Women in Science and Engineering and is an American Nuclear Society (ANS) board member. Her research interests include energy studies, engineering education and geographic information systems (GIS).
