Current and former students presented at the International Congress on Advances in Nuclear Power Plants (ICAPP) 2018 meeting which took place in Charlotte, N.C, from April 8-11.
Current graduate students that presented were Mengnan Li, Nadish Saini, and Joseph Cambareri, who are all part of the MultiPhase Research Group lead by Dr. Igor Bolotnov.
Megnan presented her conference paper titled “Multi-Bubble Flow Boiling Simulation Using Interface Tracking Method”. Nadish presented his conference paper, titled “High Fidelity Simulations for Characterizing Sauter Mean Diameter of Droplets in the DFFB Regime”. Joseph presented his conference paper, titled “Bubble Dynamics Analysis in PWR Two-Phase Flow Simulations Using Interface Tracking Methods”
Former graduate students, Cameron Brown & Jinyong Feng, were also present. Cameron, who earned his PhD in 2017 under Dr. Bolotnov and is currently at Corvid Technologies, chaired a technical session during the meeting. Jinyong, who earned his PhD in 2017 under Dr. Bolotnov and is currently a post-doc at MIT, presented his MIT research.
