IRP First Annual Project Meeting Held at NCSU

The first annual IRP meeting was held between December 6 – 8 at North Carolina State University and it was lead by Dr. Nam Dinh. The meeting focused on taxonomy, basic concepts and key techniques developed/applied in the project.

The goal for the project, Development and Application of a Data-Driven Methodology for Validation of Risk-Informed Safety Margin Characterization Models, is to advance the science of validation of advanced computer models used in nuclear power plant safety analysis.

The meeting was attended by a group of multi-disciplinary scientists and engineers from the North Carolina State University, Purdue University, Ohio State University, the George Washington University, Idaho National Laboratory, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and industry researchers, with an established track record of multi-disciplinary collaboration.
