| biography: |
Dr. Thomas Elleman was a member of the Nuclear Engineering faculty
from 1964 until 1979. From 1979 to 1985 he was Vice President of Nuclear
Safety and Research at Carolina Power and Light Company. In 1985 he
returned to the University as Associate Dean for Research and from 1990
to 1994 he once again assumed his professorship in Nuclear Engineering.
Dr. Elleman has the distinction of having served as Department Head,
Undergraduate Administrator, Director of Graduate Programs, Director
of the Nuclear Reactor Program, as well as a scholarly faculty member.
He is currently a member of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board. He
and his wife, Ann, travel extensively.
