Welcome Science Teachers!

We are pleased to offer this two-day workshop scheduled
for June 17 and 18, 2008. It is a colloboration with the American Nuclear Society and Progress Energy to bring you nuclear science resources. The first day will be held at NC State's Department of Nuclear Engineering and the second day at Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant.

We have secured 1.0 CEU credits for your participation. The workshop cost is $25, it includes instructional materials*, refreshments/lunch and transport between Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant and Burlington Engineering Labs at NC State University.

*Instructional materials will include Geiger counters (1 per teacher), radioactive sources safe for classroom use, teacher handbook and reference materials.
